What We Do
The Foundation Against Crime Victim Exploitation in Social Media (a/k/a FACES) is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to helping bring awareness to crime victim abuse and exploitation in social media. FACES seeks to support crime victims who are subject to abuse and exploitation, by whatever appropriate means may be available.
Each case is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and may include but is not limited to: advocacy; assistance with spreading awareness; creating and executing social media campaigns; attending court proceedings;
and/or providing referrals.
We also conduct research in media trends that impact crime victims and seek to document crime victims first-hand accounts of social media abuse and exploitation in order to create an evidence-based perspective.
Additionally, FACES seeks to assist social media creators who would like guidance in creating responsible, victim-centered content.
